Help Us Find Great People and Make iRock a Great Place to Work!

At iRock School of Music, we believe music can change children’s lives. Our incredible team of Band Coaches deliver high-energy rock and pop music lessons in primary schools across the UK, giving thousands of children the opportunity to play in a band, perform and grow in confidence.

Behind them is a passionate team of people who make it all happen and we're looking for someone new to join us.

We're looking for an organised, enthusiastic and creative Recruitment & People Coordinator to join our People team in Farnborough.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves keeping things organised, enjoys working with people and wants to develop their career across recruitment, HR and employee experience.

You don't need to know everything about recruitment or HR already. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude: someone who is organised, proactive, confident communicating with people and genuinely excited to learn.

You'll support our recruitment team with everything from advertising vacancies and communicating with candidates to arranging interviews and helping new starters get ready for their first day.

But the role doesn't stop there.

You'll also help make iRock a great place to work. Whether that's organising birthday celebrations, preparing welcome packs, making sure our office is welcoming and well stocked, helping with company events or coming up with creative ideas to make the employee experience even better.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Recruitment

    • Post and maintain job adverts across our recruitment platforms
    • Review and manage incoming applications
    • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process
    • Coordinate interviews and assessment days
    • Keep our recruitment system accurate and up to date
    • Support candidate screening and interviews as your experience develops
    • Help organise recruitment events and campaigns
    • Support the team in delivering an outstanding candidate experience from application through to offer

    Onboarding & People Administration

    • Support new employees from offer through to their first day
    • Coordinate references, Right to Work checks and other pre-employment documentation
    • Process DBS and Access NI applications
    • Maintain accurate employee and onboarding records
    • Add new employees to our HR systems and support general HR administration
    • Prepare welcome packs, staff ID cards and uniform orders
    • Support induction days and other new starter activities
    • Help answer new starter queries and make sure they have everything they need for a great start at iRock
    • Support the wider People team with general administration and projects

    Office & Employee Experience

    • Help keep our Farnborough office organised, welcoming and well stocked
    • Manage kitchen, grocery and office supply orders
    • Coordinate company-wide birthdays, cards and celebrations
    • Help organise employee events, recognition activities and special occasions
    • Liaise with suppliers, cleaning providers and contractors where required
    • Coordinate hotel and travel bookings when needed
    • Support general day-to-day office requirements
    • Look for creative ways to make our office and employee experience even better

    Who We're Looking For

We're looking for potential as much as experience.

    You'll probably be someone who:

    • Is highly organised and enjoys administration
    • Has excellent attention to detail
    • Is confident, friendly and professional when communicating with people
    • Enjoys taking ownership and getting things done
    • Has a creative side and enjoys coming up with new ideas
    • Is comfortable juggling several different tasks and priorities
    • Is confident using technology and learning new systems
    • Is proactive and notices when something needs doing
    • Is happy to get involved and help wherever needed
    • Wants to learn more about recruitment, HR and the wider People function
    • Brings a positive, supportive and down-to-earth approach to work

Previous experience in recruitment or HR would be useful, but it isn't essential.

You may currently be working in administration, customer service, events, hospitality, education, office coordination or another people-focused environment and be looking for your next step.

What matters most to us is finding someone with strong administration skills, the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn and develop.

    What You'll Get

We want iRock to be a great place to work as well as somewhere you can develop your career. As part of the team, you'll receive:

    • Salary of £26,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience
    • 27 days holiday plus bank holidays
    • A supportive, friendly and down-to-earth team culture
    • Opportunities to learn and develop your career across recruitment, HR and the wider People function
    • Fantastic team events, including our annual iRock Conference
    • Employee recognition schemes and staff prizes, including the chance to win festival tickets
    • An employee referral bonus when you recommend someone who goes on to join the team
    • A Monday-to-Friday working pattern working 35 hours per week

    Ready to Join Us?

If you're organised, creative, great with people and looking for an opportunity where you can learn, contribute and develop, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to arrive knowing everything about recruitment or HR. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong administration skills and the enthusiasm to learn.

Apply now and become part of the team helping iRock inspire thousands of children through music.

  • About Us

  • Founded in 2016 by father-and-son team John and Josh Franklin, iRock School of Music was built on a simple belief: music has the power to unlock confidence, creativity, and potential in every child. What began in a garden shed has grown into an award-winning organisation, recognised for bringing exciting rock and pop band experiences to thousands of children in hundreds of primary schools across the UK.

At iRock, we do more than teach music, we create experiences that leave a lasting impact. Every week, tens of thousands of children take part in our energetic band sessions, developing teamwork, resilience, and self-belief alongside their musical skills.

Our culture is at the heart of everything we do: fun, honest, supportive, and inspiring. We value ownership, innovation, and doing things properly, and we’re proud to be an award-winning team that inspires both the children we teach and the people who work with us.

As part of our Office Team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our mission. Helping to create the systems, processes, and experiences that enable our Band Coaches and schools to deliver exceptional opportunities for children across the UK. Your work behind the scenes will have a direct impact on the moments that inspire confidence, creativity, and lasting memories for the children we reach every week.
